Rachel was born and raised in New Jersey. She received her B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Rutgers University in May 2018. During her undergraduate years, she was an experimentalist in the Celik Catalysis Group where she studied supported metal nanoparticle catalysts for energy and chemical production applications. She aspires to an academic career and is excited to continue exploring catalysis with the Sarazen Research Group. In her free time, she enjoys running, drawing, and brewing coffee.
