Jun grew up in Miri, Malaysia before pursuing an undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (2016-2020). At UIUC, he worked under Professor David Flaherty where he studied alkene epoxidation with H₂O­₂ on Ti-zeolites. During his free time, he likes to play basketball, watch Netflix, and play video games with his siblings.
