Hayat came to Princeton from Richmond, VA. As an undergraduate at VCU, she trained in molecular organic framework synthesis under Professor Hani El-Kaderi and nanoparticle exposure research under Professor Nastassja Lewinski. Hayat also interned at Merck & Co. in downstream pharmaceutical process development. In the Sarazen Research Group, she studies hierarchical zeolites for sustainable fuel production. During her spare time, she loves keeping up with global news and walking outside.
